I’ve taught ESL for as long as I can remember; it really is my life’s calling. After completing my BA in TEFL, I decided to pursue my MA in TESL at Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota. I have an advanced TEFL certification from Hamline University, and am now working towards my MA. I have taught both business and general English, as well as TOEFL and TOEIC preparation. My students and I typically do role-plays, but activities are not limited to this approach. We also use a variety of reference materials such as songs, video clips, newspaper articles etc. Using the communicative method, grammar will also be addressed as needed, although the focus will be more indirect. Although everything sounds academic, I can assure you that learning English will also be a lot of fun!
